The gay/anti gay discussion is rising fast, fuelled by not the Gays societies by web sites who say the promote Christianities by pronouncing that they know it all better then God. Some even saying that the Christians should ignore the Old testament as that is just purely the Israeli history and has no place in the Christian testimonies. Those are just money making sites who damaging Christianity as a whole. If we ignore the Old Testament then we also have to ignore the creation, God as the Father and Jesus as His Son. The why is a part of the onslaught of Christian sites to promote homosexuality as the new Christian version to find an excuse to attract the homosexual community and find excuses for promotion of homosexuality, the gay marriages in a Christian Church even the appointment of Christian elders in the Church, even to appoint pastors to lead the congregations?
While we are not against homosexuality in general as God has given us the free will to live the way we want, there is a different when it comes by using others belief in Christ for their own benefit. Getting married as gay’s in a church is not a act of getting married it is an act to see how far the desperation of the church will go to allow it, as the bible in the new testament says at 12 different points it is wrong. Wanting to appoint a Church pastor who is gay is an abomination as God rather clearly states that they have to be impeccable and by being gay in the bible that is classified as sin and for that reason they do not qualify. Still it is sometime horrid, sometime funny to see how churches like snakes are turning and twisting to create the words in the bible to suit them. It actual means maybe without them realising it, they are not Christians but people who use Christ for their own or for the churches benefit and that is not for the benefit of God.
While some do not believe that homosexual sex is even mentioned or described in Scripture, others freely admit that it is mentioned and was a capital crime under Moses, and strongly condemned by the Apostle Paul as being worthy of death. But among the latter it is argued that neither of these condemnations in the Old or the New Testaments applies to homosexual Believers in Christ. That is a twist we will examine carefully, as most have probably never heard of such a defence. It is not to single out or come down upon homosexuals they have the same right to live their life’s an s we do. More and more, the media, entertainment, the government, the Church, the general population of the Western world, no longer believes it is a sin to be discriminated against, and so it is not, personal I cannot see why we should be judging others on how they want to live their life. That is something between them and their conscious as it is for all of us. So, my purpose here is not to judge or ask people to judge, but to specifically establish whether homosexuality is a sin or not a sin for Believers of Jesus Christ.
If it is not a sin, and these practices are normal and virtuous, then we should not be speaking negative about them. But if it is a sin, then we should certainly speak out against it just as we should against adultery, idolatry, lying, stealing, etc. if they are part of a Christian church and want to use the Church services for themselves. Let's try and look at the Scriptural facts with unbiased, open minds. If we are interested in obedience to Jesus Christ then we should be eager to know the truth one way or the other. Most homosexuals do not argue with Lev. 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
Many will say it state when a man lies with a man and a woman with a woman it does not say gay or homosexuality which is rather logic as that words are only invented a hundred years ago or so. They concede that this verse is speaking actual of homosexuality a sexual encounter between members of the same gender. Their argument is that it no longer applies to them as Believers in Jesus Christ, stating that they are no longer under the Law of Moses. However, regarding this the words in the New Testament are rather clear as well if we see one of the twelve mentioned in the New Testament, special Romans 1:18/32 who spells it out clearly. It is true the Ten Commandments do not spell out “homosexuality” however it does not spell out, nor did Jesus, child-molestation either; neither is it one of the Ten Commandments. Neither did Jesus address drug abuse, nor pornography, smoking, spousal abuse, or torture. Do we therefore have to assume that God therefore was condoning such sins and atrocities? Are we to assume therefore that none of these are wrong or sinful?
In our societies we have laws that say having sexual intercourse with an animal carries an prison sentence even in some countries the death sentence for both men and women as it was in the old says of the Old Testament see Leviticus, 20:15-16). Who among us would dare to suggest to their children that having sex with farm yard animals is now okay since it is not condemned in the New Testament by Jesus, In the Old Testament we find the condemnation in number ten of the Ten Commandments saying; Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. When you still cannot see the light, try a little common sense and basic morality.
Most Gay people who say they are Christians, say there is nowhere in the Bible said that homosexuality is wrong, however that is wrong, they used different words but the indication is the same. But the New Testament from Matthew, Mark to Revelations, is said many time indicated many times pointed to many times, that same-gender sex is wrong. The word Homosexual was not mentioned as it did not exist, in the NT when it was written. However Roman 1 explains it so clearly, “No same-gender sex”, it cannot be clearer. However the Homosexuality community insist that we have to read it different, so let us spell it out for those who have a view of their own. No not from the conveniently adapted new versions of the NT so popular special in the US and the UK, adapted to the wishes and the taste of the public it is intended for, not from the KJV adapted in the English language with it many adoption’s left outs and adding’s for the convenience of the British Church in that time, not from the NRSV (1989) no we using an old (1572) bible. That is before the race to create so many changes as possible to adapting to their wished.
So let us have a look at Roman 1:18/32 The anger of God is being revealed from heaven against all the impiety and depravity of men who keep truth imprisoned in their wickedness. For what can be known about God is perfectly plain to them since God himself has made it plain. Ever since God created the world his everlasting power a deity-however invisible- have been there for the mind to see in the things he has made. That is why such people are without excuse: they knew God and yet refused to honour him as God or to thank him; instead, they made nonsense out of logic and their empty minds were darkened. The more they called themselves philosophers (theology’s), the more stupid they grew, until they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for a worthless imitation, for the image of mortal man, of birds, of quadrupeds and reptiles. That is why God left them to their enjoyments and the practises with which they dishonour their own bodies, since they have given up divine truth for a lie and have worshipped and served creatures instead of the creator, who is blessed forever.
However, Not all people are believers of the God from the bible, and if they do not belief then the laws and the words of God in the bible do not count for them, then can as we all can do what they want, when they want it and how they want it. If they want to be gay what is for us to say you cannot as we can only say such a thing to people who belief in Christ our saviour. If they do not then we cannot and should not judge as the judgment id up the God and not to be done by us mere humans. We can restrict them from celebrations in our churches, but not from attending them as it is God who will judge, we do not have the right. It will be God in the end of days who will judge over them and over us, let us remember this.
