32637 Adam the first man
We have written about this many of times but for some reason it seems to be coming back time after time. God created it all and lay the beginning on that what we now all take for granted, of that there is no doubt and even science does not dispute this with facts. BUT: How was it possible that the writers of the Hebrew story (bible) made such a mess of things? How was it possible that Cain found a wife and family large enough to build a city, in a time period that had only known 4 people, Adam, Eva, Cain and Abel? Curious enough the early Popes always so quick to change all what they though could not be explained, missed obvious this one. Up comes an Isaac La Peyrère, a Jewish convert to Catholicism from Bordeaux France. He found a way to solve what obvious was indeed a problem, he therefore proposed that Cain’s wife and the inhabitants of Cain’s city all came not from Adam but from a pre-Adam population, beings who had lived in ‘the indefinite amount of time before Adam.
He said that Adam was not the first man but just the first Hebrew (Jew) only Jewish did not existed then in the beginning of that time, as such he was the father of the Hebrews but not the father of mankind. Eve was not the first woman, but the first Hebrew woman, mother as the status as wife was indeed also not established by the first Hebrews. However then we have a problem, If Adam was not the first man, and Eve not the first woman, as said to be created within the first 6 days, how it can be explain that the world/Universe was just created 6 days before. Obvious somewhere along the line the creator of that story must have known that there were other people on earth otherwise they would not have written that Cain found a wife and family in a time period that there were only four, and after Cain had laid off Abel they were only three.
Here also, is a direct explanation ready, a Dutch researcher said we looking at it the wrong way. The earth and Universe were there already for millions of years, but that in several periods all was destroyed, and reference was made to the disappearance of the Dinosaur. In the time that the Hebrew history as they say started, earth had just passed such a period, and remnant of people not perished were still wandering earth. In her version God wanted fresh people, new ones, clean ones without a scratch so to say and as such he create Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, but that went wrong when Eve fancied some fruit. In short we have here the creation story that does not add up, we have the Isaac La Peyrere story that also does not add up as neither does the Dutch story, no wonder that people are getting confused.
To explain the presence of peoples post-Flood, and to avoid the conclusion that they were all descendants of Noah and his family, it is suggested that the Flood was local, not global. The people were descended from various pre-Adamses and not from Adam. This polygenesis of the people is one way of
Method of explaining the existence of the Negroes, Chinese, Eskimos, American Indians, Malays and other people groups being discovered. The question which is debated and argued is whether Adam was the first man or humanoid being on earth, or if other types of men existed before Adam. History and science reveal that many different men and humanoid types were on earth tens of thousands of years before Adam. The skeletal remains of these beings have been found all over the planet. Some resemble races now existing, some represent more primitive humanoid types.
Most Bible scholars and their students agree that Adam was created by Yahweh about 6,000 years ago (c. 4,000 B.C.). Bible chronology on this issue has been established long ago and has been continually verified and sustained. They using the bible as were created by the Roman Catholic Church early Popes on their instructions. Bible "fundamentalists" and Christian humanists claim Adam was the first humanoid or man, and was consequentially the father of all peoples and races on earth, or ever existed on the earth. This is derived from their literal and universal interpretation of the bible with no questions asked, not even how it came to pass that Cain the only one of three of the creation still alive managed to find a wife and a whole family large enough for a city, as such they have a denial of what history and science reveal on the matter.
The primary arguments for such claims stem from Cain. For example, "If only Adam and Eve existed, then who was Cain afraid of that would kill him? As He questioned God for, and if Adam and Eve were the first and only people at this time, then from where did Cain find a wife? Not only was he able to find a wife, but there were obviously enough people to be part of the city built by Cain. . . .All of these circumstances thus point to the existence of men independent of Adam." Yahweh cursed and cast out Cain, Yahweh placed a "mark" on Cain, "lest any finding him should kill him." Yahweh said, "Whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold" (Gen. 4:14,15). The statements clearly indicate other people already existing at the time of Adam, Eve and Cain. Yet those who always apply a literal interpretation of the Bible say that Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth, and that Yahweh was aware of this, as such Adam and Eve could not have been his first creation.
The Christian humanists cannot explain these Biblical facts, Christian scholars the ones who have opened their eyes for facts and reality does agree that other probabilities are possible. If scholars go by the book and take every word as being the right words and situations then they do end up with many questions they cannot and never will get answered. Oddly enough anyone can say to have a god. No proof is needed to prove any gods, much less a specific god, does exist. Many people will tell you their god exists and no others, but they will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions. We do not need the Hebrew history to tell us that Jesus was real; there is enough related proof to know that Jesus was real, and for that reason we have to accept the wisdom of the prophets and their predictions which shows us that a Christ would be born.
For far too long priests and preachers have completely ignored the reality of Christ and referred to the creation as a real story and totally by passed the most important part of the biblical occurrences the birth, and death of Christ for our benefit, as our saviour. Of course the creation took place we only have to look around us to see it, and how we destroy it. But it all came to pass in a much slower and more complicated way then the simplicity of the writers of the Hebrew history that cannot be proven, before 700 BC and many parts after wards are also hidden in dark spaces we till now are not able to find. Many of the ones who oppose Christianity have taken the Hebrew creating history as facts, simple as they are. God never did order an attack on anyone nor did he order the killings of millions, the destructions of cities as we see in (Joshua 6) He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses”.
In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! Only the very simple will actual belief that kind of Hebrew history, it did never happen it was created to impress the Hebrew people just coming back after being expelled from their country by the ruler of Babylon, they needed to control them to keep power over them, hence the History they had created. Just as the biblical scholar who actual belief all what is written in the OT, so is the disbeliever who also uses the same OT to proof that God does not exist by using the Hebrew history who have absolute almost nothing to do with God, the creation or Christ.
God is good and not an evil God as some biblical scholar say he is, God never would ask to kill his own creation, never would ask to sin in his name, to forsake His laws in His name, that is the disbeliever using the Hebrew history, a fable like Fountain to show that what is not there and to create a story to make it able it to be there were it is not. Biblical Scholars make the same mistake. You cannot take a history as Gospel; we do not do that with the Greek history woven full with godlike beings, as are so many other histories of people on this earth. It is the wisdom of the prophets, the words of Christ that direct Christianity, not fantasy and human creation for the sake of Power, Greed and Control, but for the love of Christ.
